Welcome to Holland Home For Hounds!

A place where your dog can find a home away from home! We are dedicated to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for your dogs.

We have 3 acres of open space for dogs to roam, run and play!

Our groups are small, therefore allowing each dog to get individual care based on their needs.

Our indoor rest area is spacious and has individual cozy suites. No kennels or cages here!

Our Mission

At Holland Home For Hounds, our mission is to provide a safe, personalized and compassionate boarding and daycare experience for your dog. With the knowledge of a retired veterinary technician and the heart of a lifelong animal lover, we offer a stress-free alternative to kennels. Here, all dogs are treated like family.

About Us

Holland Home For Hounds, started as a dream. A relaxed home-style environment for dogs to socialize, run and play in an open and natural setting. A place where dogs can just be dogs and get the play, rest and socialization they need and deserve. With these goals in mind we set out to find the perfect spot to accomplish just that. In January of 2025 we found 3 acres of beautiful fenced-in space to make our dream come to life. In March of 2025 we moved in to the farm house, we were finally doing it! In the weeks to follow we worked hard on cleaning up and revamping the space to create what we had envisioned with the plan of doing a soft launch starting July of 2025. And now here we are, ready to serve you and your dogs the best we can. Welcome to all dogs! I am sure you will enjoy your stay.

Craig Holland
Co-Founder, Owner

Craig is a life-long animal lover with a background in surveying and mapping and a passion for life and learning. Craig was born in Newcastle, Ontario and grew up in the Scugog and Kawartha Lakes region of Ontario. He studied at Sir Sandford Fleming College - School of Environmental & Natural Resources and holds a Geological Technician and post-graduate diploma in Geographic Information Systems. He currently works for the City of St. Albert as a planning technician. He spends his days making maps and looking forward to quality cuddle time with his fur babies Rocky, Basil and Lil Miss. After purchasing this acerage in early 2025, he is excited to start the journey ahead at Holland Home For Hounds with his very good friend Snaa.

Snaa Tirmizi
Co-Founder, Manager

Snaa has 15 years of experience in animal health care. She has been a registered veterinary technician for 12 years and has loved every moment of her career. She is pet CPR certified and has helped save the lives of many pets including her own dog Balloo. Snaa was born in Toronto, Ontario and started her career as a Vet Tech there. She graduated from the Veterinary Technician program from Sheridan College in 2013 and worked at various practices throughout the city. In 2020 she decided to make the move to Edmonton where she continued to work as a Vet Tech. Her scope of practice includes surgery and anesthesia, radiology, emergency and dentistry. Snaa currently resides at the farm house on site with her dog Balloo and 2 cats Wiki and Zuko.

Day Care

Your dogs will spend most of their day outdoors (weather permitting). They will have 3 acres to sniff, roam and play while under close supervision. During break times they will head into the barn for much-needed rest and recuperation in thier own private suite.
All day stays need to be pre-booked. No drop-in's at this time as we need to book a time for your short free tour before your dog's stay to ensure you are satisfied.
Drop off time is between 6 and 7:30 am, Pick up time is between 6 and 7:30 pm.

Boarding

We want your dog to be pampered and cared for in our super cozy suites. We have converted our barn stalls into 4 spacious suites where dogs can feel at home with plenty of space to rest and relax.
All overnight stays need to be pre-booked . No drop-in's at this time as we need to book a time for your short free tour before your dog's stay to ensure you are satisfied. Drop off time is between 6 and 7pm and pick up time is between 11 am and 12 pm. Please refer to the price list for cost of boarding.

Dog Park

Needing to spend some quality time with your dog without the crowds at the dog park? Drop on by and roam our property for a private dog park experience! It will just be you and your dog(s). Perfect for reactive dogs! Want to see other dogs? We have got you covered. Our dogs Balloo and Rocky would love to hang out with you.
